THE COLLABORATION

Elasea (vocalist) and Sadiki (bassist) met in 2012 and started Acute Inflections in 2013. Since then, they’ve accomplished more than they dreamed, including releasing several chart-topping jazz albums and having their music featured on NPR and Discovery. Each year, they perform for hundreds of special events and concerts across the country and abroad.

While they enjoy traveling, they often feel like they don’t have enough time to get to know their new environment. When Sadiki’s high school friend, Ryan, mentioned that he wanted to incorporate Acute Inflections with his tours of Sicily, he didn’t need to convince the artists. They are beyond excited to learn about Sicily while spending time with their fans. Because they’ve been good friends with Ryan for decades, they knew he was the perfect cool, calm, and collected chaperone for this adventure.

Ryan has spent over half of his life in Italy, falling deeply in love with the land, culture, and its amazing people. He grew up in Italy, began his career as a professional basketball player there, and it’s even the birthplace of both of his children. While living in Sicily, he made important friendships, creating a network that offers the most authentic experiences possible.

Ryan’s extensive travels have given him an appreciation for people from all walks of life, ages, and backgrounds. His diverse tours have included everything from a romantic getaway for a retired couple to a fun reunion of family tracing their roots. Ryan curates every detail and accompanies each BucciTour throughout their Sicilian journey.
